Consult Hyperion, 27/06/2012

Download in mp3 format

Annie Smith is the Head of Mobile Financial Services (Pacific Region) for Digicel. She has considerable experience in telecommunications in the developing world, having previously worked in Africa and South Asia. Digicel recently launched a fully-fledged NFC service in Tonga (the subject of this podcast). The "beep & go" service uses the VeriFone "mWallet" system to deliver a non-bank payment scheme, which is why it is so interesting. Annie has an MBA from Insead and BAs in French and Economics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
