Dave Birch talks to Peter Hazlehurst

Peter Hazlehurst is head of payments at Uber. Uber lets customers pay with just about every method possible from cash to cards to Paytm, to Uber’s own wallet – Uber Cash — and delivers funds to partners around the world to their bank accounts and/or with a debit card that accesses their earnings in real time.

Peter has been in FinTech since 1993 when he joined Phoenix International as its first/lead engineer and built a core banking system on Windows and Sybase. Since then, Peter has worked in multiple startups in FinTech and consumer products including Nokia, Yodlee, and Google.

At Money20/20 in October 2019, he announced Uber Money, the subject of this podcast. Respected analyst Ron Shevlin said in Forbes magazine that Uber Money will be a force in financial services. Listen here to understand why.
